WHAT ARE SHADOWS?

WHAT DOES SHADOW WORK LOOK LIKE?

Shadow Work...

Shadow Work is a powerful way to understand why you behave in ways that don't work for you and to change them.  It is a proven technique for quickly and effectively resolving your toughest personal issues.

Our ‘Shadows’ are those aspects of ourselves, our behaviours and feelings that we have learned should not be, must not express or shouldn’t have in everyday life.

Shadow Work requires a very private place that feels safe for you.  You need a safe environment before you will feel free to explore your shadows.  Most people begin by attending a seminar where Shadow Work is done in a group of 8 -12 people, over a period of approximately three days.  Shadow Work is also offered one-to-one through Shadow Work Coaching which is described later.

Shadow Work makes use of an Archetype Model developed by Carl G. Jung and then further developed by Jungian analysts Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette. This Four-Quarter Archetypes Model provides a valuable lens through which to look at people and our shadows as well as the framework for this powerful and transformative work

In order to offer Shadow Work, one must be fully certified.  The Shadow Work group facilitation path consists of the following three trainings, which must be done in order, followed by a mentoring and apprenticing certification process:
